The Gladiator is the first pickup truck that Jeep has offered in many years, so you understandably are excited to learn what it offers. While the Gladiator and the Wrangler have several shared traits, they are also starkly different vehicles that have their own desirable attributes. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler and the 2021 Gladiator share the same V6, 3.6-liter engine. This engine is offered with your choice of an automatic or a manual transmission in select trim levels, and it produces 285 horsepower in both models. Both of these vehicles are also offered with a diesel powertrain alternative. Notably, the Wrangler has a few other powertrains. These include a 375-horsepower hybrid engine, a 470-horsepower V8, and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
These rugged vehicles have many of the same exterior traits. These include a tall grille, round headlights, a cube-like shape, and extended fenders. They also both have removable doors, a removable roof, and a folding windshield. The Wrangler is available with your choice of several hard and soft top designs. The Gladiator adds a 5-foot bed in the rear. It is offered with your choice of a body-colored roof or a black roof.
