In 2020, the Dodge Journey SE Value is the new base trim level. The renaming of the base trim is about the most significant change that you’ll find for the Journey in 2020, aside from a trim lineup reshuffling that includes the deletion of the GT trim level. As its name indicates, the SE Value is designed to give you the most value for your money. The Journey classifies as a small SUV that contains room for seven people. The SE Value comes with all the basics you’d expect from a practical minivan but adds some additional surprises that make it a superior choice for minivan shoppers. One feature that sets the SE Value apart from other vehicles in its class is its third row of seats, which gives you more seating opportunities for your family with plenty of space to move around.
In 2020, the SE Value is one of two trim levels available for the Dodge Journey. They are powered by the same engine, which is a 2.4L engine that has four cylinders. The base engine has a top power output of 173 HP, and it reaches up to 166 LB-FT in torque for both trim levels. The machine is linked to an automatic transmission that has four speeds. The 2020 Journey comes with a front-wheel drive as its standard drivetrain.
The SE Value has a substantial list of basic amenities, but even more, features are available through several add-on packages. The SE Value gets cloth upholstery and comfortable seats to start with. Its technology package includes a stereo system with six speakers. You will also get an infotainment system with a 4.3-inch display screen that supports music, directions, and more. Along with these features, you have the option of getting several enhancement packages for the SE Value as well. One package is called the Blacktop Package, which is only available for the base trim level. With this package comes a power-adjustable driver’s seat and three-zone climate control. Some audio enhancements are also included, such as satellite radio. The interior gets a splash of luxury through the second package with the inclusion of a leather gear shift knob and leather steering wheel. The second package, called the SE Value Popular Equipment Group, can be added alone or in conjunction with the Blacktop Package.
